"I'm here to see my Dad." Ivy announced quietly when she arrived at the hospital desk. The fat woman didn't even move her eyes from her monitor when she started saying words that Ivy couldn't understand. It angered her so much that someone could be so impolite in this situation. She hadn't actually let Mr Becks speak so she didn't know what had happened. The last time she had been called into the hospital during a school day, he had collapsed and had to have an emergency operation. It was at six o'clock every morning that Ivy would leave her home and go for a run. She loved how quiet the small town that she lived in was. And when the streetlights were yet to turn off because the sun hadn't quite peered over the mountains yet, she liked seeing in black and grey. The fog was still lingering in the shadows of the alleys and in the empty gardens when she opened the door and let the cold air of twilight seep into the house.
